someone told me today that the Phaser runs at 90degrees C - guess if the stat starts to open around 82degrees that would be about right

my temp gauge would sit around 1/3 (with a 4-core rad/turbo) - changed stat and it now sits around half way - top end of gauge is marked 120 so not sure how accurate a 20+ year old gauge/sender unit can be

have you changed fuel recently/running on bio?

the new injectors, are they new new or overhauled/overhauled replacements?
could it be the engine is now running a bit rich or were they changed in an attempt to clear the smoking problem? (and not as a result of a loss of power thru fuel starvation)
it seemed like a good idea at the time
