hello, i am working on a rb44 and have cleaned the front brake shoes and replaced all four wheel cylinders on the front axle.  i am now struggling to get them to self adjust. i set the shoes manually 5 clicks as per manual with drums off but once they are fitted they dont seem to be adjusting while pumping the pedel is there another way of adjusting them

have you got the adjuster spring correctly fitted? if its not right they won't automatically adjust up.

have you got engine running when you try to pump them up? that might help.

You might get some adjustment via the back plate, I have ringed the bits I mean, from what I remember the are on a camber so a little turn should lift the shoes / adjusters slightly.

bottom middle shows them on this, the post adjuster
