Thats dashed unsporting, for all the provardo and bigging up of what a safe secure legally binding contract if you bid blah blah blah ...... there seems to be an awfull lot of people who just do whatever the hell they want to on there ??? this is the welcome bit isn't it , there's a proper place for banter an that mate..... its like peeing in the wardrobe , you might get away with it now and then so long as you're pointing in the right direction ! |

Re:ebay sb66 Date Posted:21/03/2011 09:59:36Copy HTML Its more a case of being peeved off because he played it all by the rules and put a decent bid on only to have the bloke sell it off e-bay ??? They make such a big thing about it being a legal binding thing that when you bid its binding an' all but it turns out (and this is in an e-mail from e-bay) that it isn't !!! you can remove items, cancel bids whatever ....... its a bloomin sham , as long as they get thier listing fee and final sale fee they couldn't give a rats arse whether the deal was done fairly or not
Its got to go both ways , if they want buyers to honour their bids they should make sure that sellers honur their part !!! I was talking to a guy at an off roading do the other week who won a car for his missis on e-bay, for £760, he contacted the seller who agreed a time for my mate to go over and the only clue Paul had that something wasn't quite right was when Paul said on the phone that he'd got the cash out ready the seller said "ah yeah we'll sort that out when you get here" .... when he got there (after travelling about 80 miles) the guy said "right , if you want it its 900 quid !!!" , Paul said "no I won it for 760 , if you wanted 900 for it you should have put a reserve on it" .... the bloke said "naaaa, they charge extra to put a reserve on , but say what you like boy if you want it its 900 quid" Even tho the bloke had been a total dick Paul still gave him his money and bought it, when he got back he e-mailed ebay but they weren't interested...... I think in truth he was intimidated by the guy and thats why he gave him the extra ...... but thats bloody wrong that is :-( I'll leave my soapbox here in case anyone else wants a go |

Re:ebay sb66 Date Posted:23/03/2011 12:27:54Copy HTML mmmmm, not so easy to be a hard man and start throwing your weight about when A, he's a kind hearted man who weighs 8 stone dripping wet through ..... and B, you're 80 miles from home sat outside a house full of blokes in a rough area ......

Re:ebay sb66 Date Posted:27/03/2011 01:45:41Copy HTML Ebay is not the place to buy a vehicle IMO unless you just use it to find a vehicle and do an off ebay sale.
