Hi Baz

According to your profile you live in the US of A , ...... & you want to build a campervan (RV), from scratch, on a bare S56 chassis, to UK specs & therefore, presumably for use in the UK/Europe ?

.... but you will have to tell us a lot more about the specifics of your scheme/idea/plan.   Then we can all help you .

Hope you have had nice "Holidays" (as they say over there) & that St Nick  brought you lots of treated wood & screws.

Hear from you soon.
Rod.

I reckon the usa bit in the profile is the default setting, so what laws and dvla stuff do you need to know about?

Yup Bazzer is in the UK.

Bazzer, in response to ypur PM:

Building a camper from scratch is going to be VERY expensive & take forever. Your best (& cheapest) option would be to graft an aluminium bodied (for ease of alteration) caravan onto your chassis. You would only have to cut a hole in the back of the cab, pretty up the front end connection (& could already have the insides of the van self contained, fitted out & ready to use.)

Keep your thread going here & you will get lots of info.

Regards,
Rod
