Date Posted:05/09/2013 07:41:14Copy HTML my brakes have been pulling to the left for a while now so i checked out both front shoes and drums ,they both looked fine ,and evenly worn .so i gave the shoes a wipe with a little petrol ,put it all back and hay presto the brakes are perfectly even .very simple job ,thought i d share it

Re:brakes pulling to one side Date Posted:06/09/2013 02:25:21Copy HTML That's good you fixed it so easy, it might have been that taking the drums off and on again and adjusting the brakes that helped too, though giving the shoes a clean would have been a helping factor, were either side oily at all?

no there was no contamination at all and the shoes were all evenly worn ,there was just a thin coating of black dust .there is one thing though ,the brakes are not very good when reversing ,is this common ?
