Date Posted:05/08/2011 06:29:10Copy HTML What is rear axle on MK1 50's ? Is it Rockwell? Also how is joint made between Phaser 110T and TF727 autotrans? Is there an adapter plate between engine clutch housing and trans? Or is there suitable clutch housing already bolted on engine? I would really like to see a pic of Phaser 110T and TF727

Re:Rear axle manufacturer?Phaser 110T + TF727 how? Date Posted:05/08/2011 02:01:59Copy HTML Hi there, the rear axles are UK dodge / renault axles not fitted to any other vehicle as far as i know, there were 3 different types and lots of ratio's available.
ax6 fitted to 4.600kgs and 5600kgs vehicles ax8 fitted to 6600kgs vehicles ax9 fitted to 7500kgs vehicles TheA727 was the main autobox fitted though later vehicles (mainly 7500kgs buses) were fitted with an alinson autobox. The a727 is designed to bolt directly onto the flywheel housing though I am not sure of the differences between housing on the manual and auto boxs. There is info here about the a727 http://www.dodge50.co.uk/a727%20manual/g000-p1-A727-manual.html I will try to find some info on the alinson box for you and some pictures too but I will have to do later cos i just done a 250 mile drive.

Then it has to be TF727 that has SAE3 flange. It has also been used in IH Scouts with Nissan SD33 diesel and also Early Cummins powered dodge RAM pickups. Tero |
