Heres the history... I spent loads of time and money on new parts got a new MOT and drove to Ireland... 6 months later I ended up in hospital and have not used it since... The lorry has been sitting on blocks with wheels off... The problem is it is near the sea and the rust has set in... It is weldable but my health has stopped me keeping up with maintenance... It will make a great spares vehicle... It has a 6 cylinder 6-247 Perkins engine with 125,000 kilometers on taco (I have replaced the taco and the new speedo reads 2000 miles which is how many miles since last MOT)... Engine starts on the button and passed with ease the emissions test... It was fully serviced and has plenty of anti freeze in the water... It has a 5 speed Spicer gear box... I fully reconditioned the compressor(New rubber seals and bronze disc) Reconditioned power steering unit... All track rod ends are new... All wheel cylinders are new and are protected with red racing grease.... New brake pads... New wheel bearings... Hand brake air ram has been converted to Ford Cargo to make life easier... New brake master cylinder also protected with red grease.... New clutch master and slave cylinders still in boxes... New complete exhaust not fitted and stored rust free... New clutch and a box of various Dodge parts I got from the Ambulance service when they stopped using them... The prop shaft and exhaust is off and cab stripped as I was about to fit a new clutch before I went to hospital... It has a new fuel lift pump.... The injector pump needs copper O rings replaced as there is a small drip of fuel..(I have the complete kit of seals..)Easy job... It has a new front screen... All leaf springs are oiled.... 7 good tires on rims.... Chassis in good condition...rust is drivers side foot well/skirts and bonnet/ and a few holes in body... Lots of good parts and I am open to offers for the complete lorry or Engine and box and other parts.... It is registered with the DVLA as a camper....And it is still on English plates... It is parked on a farm in Ventry, County Kerry,Ireland..... |
