Re:NEW BUS DATABASE Date Posted:16/04/2006 08:43:43Copy HTML Cool. We have just bought a Dodge 50 coachbuilt Motorhome, going by the name of "Celtic Warrior " (that's a hard 'C' !!) She's an '87 model running on a Perkins 3.9 diesel. Registration Number D450NKG. We bought her from N. Wales, and the V5 doc' says she was previously sold from St Helens, Nr Liverpool ...so we think she's a Northern Lass...but we'd love to know more if anyone's got any info on her past history , or any ideas how you can find out ? We're planning to spend some time & money getting her restored to her former glory. I have sent a couple of pix to Greg for posting in the gallery, look out for the beige & brown beast. We'll email some new pix once she's done up & lookin proud. I'm sure we'll be posting plenty of messages in the near future for tips on where to get everything from a good reliable service, to new bonnet badges ! Keep ya motor runnin' Mick & Dave ...the new Celtic Warriors. Reply to : spot2004cat

Hi there, I have a Dodge 100 Commando 2 G10 bus - Wadham Stringer Vanguard body. Just in the process of converting it to a motorhome, 80% completed and just been prepared for MOT for the first time since 1999. Ex-london council - E597 MYE. I saw the sister bus, E596 MYE, on Ebay a couple of months ago. It was still fitted out as a bus but I don't know where it's gone now. Ali |

Re:NEW BUS DATABASE Date Posted:01/10/2006 07:31:46Copy HTML My S56, reg G487 HFV, is a wheelchair bus from St Helens, I got it from Joe's Garage in 1999.
I trundled it around Europe a few times and over to Goa and back; it's now resting in Czech. And I've got a G10 wheelchair bus that's doing much the same.. I'm trying to accumalate dodge bits, bobs and parts on a farm in that part of the world (Czech, not Goa). If anyone's got information about scrapped, dumped, broken dodge 50s in central europe, maybe they could drop me a line.. |

Bottle Green and black Reg: f360 gkn (1989) Dormobile Got it from a nursing home in watford which was used for day trips and had all medical stuff on board. Converted it to motorhome straight away about four years ago and just starting to put electrics and leisure battery in which I know not enough about. Love me dodge and it one of my favourite things. Need another couple of seats if anyone had tracking four bolt removable seats like the ldv tansit minibuses have. Also would like the dodge letters on the front of my dodge. The Gerkin as we call her resides in tottenham.Text to be set font. | zipy

Re:NEW BUS DATABASE Date Posted:24/05/2008 08:48:35Copy HTML hAVE A DODGY S56 BUS, B Reg declared manuf. 1985, off Molesworth Air Base. Home for thirteen years or so, its been through the wars and you can tell. Currently off the road being renewed though its been slow progress. Have a new clutch and rear gearbox seal now, and there's a 3/4 stainless steel exhaust I'm trying to work out how to fit. Then there's everything else......
Just been given a S66 Mk1 to strip, it's a revelation, all the bolts are easy to undo! Am undecided how far to go with tranferring bits, hardly any of my bolts are easy to undo and I've been advised not to start on anything that works ok at the moment. Can see their point but some of these bits look distinctly better. Will keep as many parts as possible so as to keep the bus running as long as possible cos I love the damn thing |
