Date Posted:27/04/2011 10:11:02Copy HTML Hi, in the not to distant future we`ll be breaking 2x Dodge 50s an `81 W and an `86 C. We`ll be keeping a few bits for ourselves but, our new one is the later Renault type with phaser engine so many bits won`t be any good to us.
Both trucks were runners, the C reg one came off the road Jan 2010 due to excessive cab corrosion but it runs sweet as and always flew through the emissions. The other used to be a horesbox untill it also rusted away in the cab. If anyone needs anything let me know and we`ll see what we can do. (We`re near Gloucester not far from J13 M5) |

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:14/07/2012 07:57:03Copy HTML Hi, that's a wheel but no tyre by the way, £25 for wheel But I need to know which shape mountings you have, any chance of a picture as there were 3 types fitted over the years, the early engines had one type, those with autobox another then the ones from around 1985 on had another, you can post pics here if you use the reply button next to the new topic button, then click the upload image icon (circled in red), choose image from your pc (new browser tab might open with upload box), then upload & insert, or just email to me to greg@dodge50.co.uk

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:14/07/2012 11:33:13Copy HTML I need to know the tyre size, could be 8 x 17.5 or 8.5 x 17.5 or might have 205/75 x 17.5 or might have 7.50 x 16
If it has 7.50 x 16 the wheels I have wont be ok as they are 17 inch rims, so let me know the tyre size. Oh & if you give me the vehicles vin number I can dig out it's original build / order sheet of which I got 15000+ on the main site, will look a bit like SDGB56KOCED211233 "Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws."

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:15/07/2012 11:27:49Copy HTML hi the vin number - sdgb56kobfd212245 , and the tyre size is 8r 17.5 . I will try and upload photos of engine mounts that i took this morning . i also need a rocker cover gasket if you have any info on these it would be much appreciated . i have only owened the van a few months and am slowly getting to know her , but i am very supprised how little rust is on her for her age .all six tyres have full tread and even still the moulding bits sticking off them but they do have some cracking around the side walls and on walls , so i think i might be looking for six tidy tyres in the not to distant. thanks again for your time spent helping me out on this . regards jason.

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:22/07/2012 07:03:10Copy HTML ive sucessfully fitted a cavailer fuel cap to mine, and it works a treat, have found the seal to be a little too effective as when i open it i can hear that a vaccuum has been created in the tank.
If something works, celebrate with tea and cakes...
If it dosent, have tea and cakes anyway.

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:16/02/2013 06:41:26Copy HTML Hi
I am looking for a water trap (mounts on the side of the fuel tank) for a Dodge Series 50 Mk2 Horsebox. May be interested in the fuel tank as well if you have one in reasonable condition. |

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:23/06/2013 01:21:23Copy HTML Hi everyone.
We are now looking for a both the high/low/horn/indcator and washer/wiper stalk switches and also the sidelight/headlight switch that sits on the column. They are for a Mk2 series 50 chassis cab horsebox. Anybody got some or know where we could get them? We are in Wiltshire near Trowbridge. Thanks |
