Date Posted:27/04/2011 10:11:02Copy HTML Hi, in the not to distant future we`ll be breaking 2x Dodge 50s an `81 W and an `86 C. We`ll be keeping a few bits for ourselves but, our new one is the later Renault type with phaser engine so many bits won`t be any good to us.
Both trucks were runners, the C reg one came off the road Jan 2010 due to excessive cab corrosion but it runs sweet as and always flew through the emissions. The other used to be a horesbox untill it also rusted away in the cab. If anyone needs anything let me know and we`ll see what we can do. (We`re near Gloucester not far from J13 M5) |

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:29/04/2011 01:10:45Copy HTML If yours is a mk 1 with round headlights the answer is yes if you have a mk 2 then neither will fit. Well you could bodge the rad in, its only the pipes that are slightly different, I have fitted a mk 2 rad in a mk 1.

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:06/05/2011 11:33:14Copy HTML Hi there, we're pretty new to this wonderful world of dodge - we're in Bristol trying to fix up a 1990 Dodge 50 ex Leeds council welfare bus - the key barrel for the ignition's just fallen apart - any chance you would have one of them that would suit us?
We're also having a few problems with the starter motor, although hoping we might be able to get it sorted out...my boyfrriend's outside looking at that as we speak so we should know more soon... |

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:20/06/2011 06:28:08Copy HTML Are you after a fuel lift pump (the little pump that feeds the fuel filter) or the actual injector pump (the big pump that feeds the injectors)?

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:23/06/2011 10:17:33Copy HTML Ok,
Sparkymare, you have a different engine and fuel pump to the 2 dodges advertised for breaking but the number below is a good bet for finding one.
fluesniffer I don't have an injector pump, well I do but it's in bits at the moment (only the top section), Charlie Childs (ex Perkins research & Development)might have one on 01733 844362 ( Highland pony I have a Low vacuum warning buzzer if thats what you mean, or do you need the unit that connects the vacuum tank, the exhauster and the gauge, I have one of those too? Is it the part marked M53.2 on the image below? Toxicpunks see below this image Toxicpunks I have a complete watertight heater matrix with controls and valve on like image below, will send you a private message "Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws."

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:24/06/2011 09:24:22Copy HTML Can I ask what browser you are using to view the forum as you should be able to see the images I posted. I reckon it is the unit that connects the vacuum tank, exhauster and vacuum gauge, can you ask your mechanic if thats the bit you need (usually under the passengerside bulkhead (under the cab). Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:26/06/2011 09:14:53Copy HTML Hi there, we're new to the world of Dodge, but have just bought a 1986 S56. Although we bought it from a guy called Chris, it is on the 2005 Forum set of photos (on gallery 2) owned then by Felix. We're currently doing it up, and need inside door trims/panels as they are missing. Would you have any? It would just make it smarter inside.
We'll get some photos taken and send them up if that's OK! Thanks! Mike and Sam |

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:26/06/2011 11:09:18Copy HTML Hi there so it was you that bought 'dennis the dodge' then, yes it was Felix's dodge, then Kate who worked for me running my circus bookings for the south lived in it for a couple of years, Chris then bought off her and now you have him. :-D
Now When you say door trims? Do you mean the metal plates that cover the holes on the doors? I think I have a couple.

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:28/06/2011 08:21:15Copy HTML Hiya Karrier,
Good to hear from you - yeah, Dennis is really good, just re-vamping him now! Yeah, we do mean the metal plates for inside the door - how much would you want for them? Also, i've read elsewhere that you may meet again this year. Would it be OK if we popped along? We're very quiet and normally in bed by 8ish ;-) we also have a couple of friends who have a gas converted Dodge who live in Portsmouth - I think you may have told them about it when they were looking to buy! Take care, Mike! |

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:07/10/2011 10:06:35Copy HTML Just checking if you still have any spare parts? I have a Dodge 50 horsebox (livestock carrier) year 81 which I am either trying to sell or get back on the road (as I love it so much!). My post is under selling section.
It needs the master brake cylinder replacing - I'm not an expert engineer (I leave that to my father and O/H !) but do you have this spare part from your Dodge horsebox (year 80) available and would it be compatible with my Dodge 50 horsebox? Hope this isn't a silly question - I know more about horses than vehicles! Thnaks Dodgy Deb |

Re:Breaking 2x Dodge 50, soon Date Posted:20/04/2012 07:54:43Copy HTML I need a vacuum switch for dodge 50 Mk1 bus.
One wire connection. lives just under the passenger wheel arch by chassis. Turns buzzer off once vacuum pressure is up, but buzzer just constant, even when vac pressure up to almost 100 mark. Any help much appreciated, or if you know of a dodge 50 being dismantled. I'm in somerset. Or if someone local could lend me one to get me through MOT. Very easy to remove. Just an Idea. 01761 479697 Starcus. |
