can any one give me information on mots  local mot station told me over 3.5 tone  has to be done by vorsa and have to have a tachograph mine is a L reg  s46 drop down lorry is this true and is there any way around it

sorry but 4.6 yes it has to be done at a vosa station not a garage im afraid.
and they are tight.
they dont like old stuff and want it off the road.

hi it has not got a tachograph it has a normal speedo so so i have to have one fitted

If it private use only I doubt you will need a taco, none of mine do.

Is it a camper? If yes then it only gets tested as class 4 so no taco is needed. If not a camper what is its use? You can get tested as a camper as long as it conforms to living vehicle standards.

looking on a another forum they are saying you only need a tacho if you are useing the vehicle as commercial use of moving goods if you are useing it as plg and under 7.5t you dont need a tacho

its a drop down lorry with a secure box on the back how do you go about a mots without a tacho
