Date Posted：17/10/2009 08:26:32Copy HTML Well I went to romford, met John who is a super man who passed 'Bertie the Box' on to me, Bertie is an uprated S35 to 4,600kgs and has the 4 speed dodge gearbox on a 4.236 engine, has only done 23800 miles and drives like a dream.
So I have to thank John for letting me have the pleasure of adding Bertie to my ever growing collection of dodge 50's, I will be converting him to a mobile workshop so i can visit you dodge owners and help you with your vehicles. Bertie is the same length as a hightop 50 series van but has the added width of a box and decent access to the underneath, so I can add an onboard compressor via a split prop system (Felix has one waiting for me) and i will be able to run all the air tools i want. I will have onboard welding and an array of tools, spare parts and service / workshop manuals as well as a lot of publicity brouchers. As Bertie has a mini kitchin and a bed over the cab (in the luton) i will be able to stay over and as there is a side ramp, delivering engines to axles to gearbox;s will be much easier than using my little pick up. Date Posted：19/10/2009 10:39:56Copy HTML The cab is in very good condition, the wheel archs need sorting out but they are not too bad at all, the bonnet has a bit of surface rust and the drivers door inside at the bottom needs sanding down, primer and paint but it it not rotted through or anything.
All in all its in great condition for age, no oil on engine / sump and the gearbox is clean too, it has been well looked after and I am so happy with it.
