Hello all,Ive just become the proud owner of a 1998 Renault/dodge G08 Commando horsebox as my old Fourtrack towcar has blown its head gasket . Our first outing (a round trip of 150 miles) went well once I got used to the size of the beast. The only concern was the play in the steering.Iunderstand from reading here that this is normal , but this felt rather dangerous .Its only passed its test last week so I should immagine all is ok.There is about 6" of play at the steering wheel. Any comments would be helpfull. Just one more question. I need some service info ( engine gearbox axle power steeringoils. grease points, fuel/air filters so if you can point me in the right direction I will be gratefull. Is there an operators hand book /workshop manual available? Keep on dodging Izzy

I'm at a friends this weekend but I'll check the amount of play in terms of steering wheel inches when I get back to the bus on Monday.

I'll photocopy some of the steering power drive manual pages if you want, so you understand it better.

The workshop manuals cover 7.5 tonne to 24 tonne 100 series tractor units so are a tad large, I can sort out copys of 100 series workshop manuals for g08 or g13 or whatever, though tis my mentally silly busy time of the year, where are you based Izzy?
