Yeah, on account of the diff in the transfer box, but I believe there may be a 'special' code used to set the equipment up for testing vehicles with permanent AWD (not sure the code used for testing mine will be useful tho as it's in a different weight class to a '44)
it seemed like a good idea at the time

Thanks for the quick reply.

My old brake test results say the dtp number is B04005 which comes up with Reynolds Boughton.
Passed a new mot last week but on the way home it drove different. Heard about diffs winding up which lead me to check my paperwork and on this one the brake test results have nothing in the dtp codes section and nothing in the vehicle make.

Does anyone know anything about diff wind up and/or experienced it? I'd like to know what the signs are.

Cheers!

Could the Diff lock be engaged ?   it`s vacuum operated from the centre floor knob. Obviously this must not be locked for rolling road test. or driven on a made up road surface . just for use off road & loose surfaces.

Hi, I don't really know much about diff wind up but when i took someones s75 4x4 with same set up just different rear axle for a test i mentioned axle wind up and they said they too didn't know how the rolling road test would affect a permenant 4x4 so did a single wheel at a time with some gadget, it passed but with this system i reckon most would.

If the Transfer box is put in NEUTRAL. as well as the Gearbox (Obviously!) The Rolling road Brake Test will work.
