hi there i have a 1979 mk 1 dodge 50 .it takes a lot of winding up in the morning to get started .i was wondering if a more powerful battery would help .thankyou ,tel

You need 125amp hour 12v battery, two is best, when you try to start the engine do you use the pre heat .thermostart) ? If not then this might be why starting is getting harder. Let me know if you don't know how to use it, also holding the clutch pedal down when turning it over can help. Old thick oil can be a problem too but nothing beats a decent battery or two

thanks karrier for that  usefull advice .i do use the heater [new one] for 40 sec. and sometimes need a couple of goes .i will get a better battery .thanks,tel
