My new rear shoes have 1 shoe lining thicker than the other for each side, I have fitted them with the thicker shoe fitted towards the rear of the vehicle on each side, thinking that I took it apart this way. Does anyone know for certain whether the thicker shoe should be fitted towards the front or the back of the mk1 s56? Thanks

That's correct, the primary shoe goes on the rear, I thought I had replied to your email about this, if not then sorry I didn't.
