Hi all
We have just bought ourselves a G reg Dodge 50 with a renault badge on the front! and a coachmen campervan on the back, it has a perkins Phaser 90 (or possibly 80) and we have so far collected it from Cambridge and driven it back to Axminster in Devon, then last weekend we took it down to lands end for a couple of nights, and on the way back the brakes started to fail, the pedal slowly crept further to the floor until it eventually reached it after another hour of driving and we now have no brakes, It was quite interesting driving back with just the handbrake !!

Does anyone know what might have failed on the brakes ?, the servo vacuum gauge always reads at the top of the scale and the brake fluid is where it should be and there dont appear to be any leaks

We do want to do a power steering conversion on it too, so if anyone has a kit of parts needed, can you let me know a price please ?

Cheers

Hi if the servo vacuum is good and no leaking brake fluid it will most likely be the brake master cylinder front piston seals, the fluid when you push the brakes goes over the sels and back into the master cyl fluid tank, so you don't lost fluid but you do lose brakes, to the front, it might also bee weeping on the rear piston
i can supply new seal kit, email greg@dodge50.co.uk or text / phone 07778643304 if you wanna chat about it
