Ok, I have seen 112g for mot exemption and read several people on here claiming it but what is needed in the vehicle department?
I have a S75 which is nearly a camper, I had it taxed as PHGV and it is motorcaravan on the logbook.
It is now out of t&t and I need to move it  around to work on it but cant due to no test.
Tax is not a problem with 112g but how?

thanks
Alan

If this works I might make the meet up :)

You do not need to specify what the vehicle is if you tax at a decent post office, all you have to do is sign the declaration that is falls into one of the categories on the reverse of the form, I only ever put vehicle reg and sign it, I always sign as me and add my circus name as the business name.

Only ever had a problem when the person at the po has no idea about mot  / plate exempt, you will notive on the tax reminder it has at the bottom on the right a little box which you tick saying it is exempt, then with taht, ya insurance and a V112g you will be ok, if you get questioned at the po, point out the exemption box bit and get them to read the reverse side of the tax reminder form notes about mots, all the info they need is there, if they still are unsure what to do they only need to click the old / mot exempt button / choice on the pc screen they are looking at.

I have had them ring dvla before and I have had to wait 20 minutes only for them to be told it is ok, BUT you might notice they are clamping down on this a bit and have added a note to the tax reminder form saying if a camper and with a load space it will need a plate cert....well with the v112g you can still get around it.

You just need to make them understand this is not the first time and you know what you are doing more so then them without annoying them and making them feel silly, what I do if I get a 'newbie' at the counter is help them along letting them know that they will know what to do next time someone comes along and it will save them lots of hassle and time.

To answer ya question, go for dual purpose if asked...and would be great to meet ya at the meet up too.

Good luck, if ya get stuck phone me on 07971836301 if ya get the ansaphone leave a message n number.
