Well I went down the farm today as I have seem to found a renewed interest in my trusty bus.
I haven't been down for ages, I bet it must be close to a 12 month! so I was expecting a pile of rust and 6 tyres...

Not too bad really considering..

The big surprise was it went!! its own batteries too   I rocked it back and fore to make sure brakes were free and all seems ok

The one thing that has gone more than the rest is the cab area.

The question is how bad can it be before MOT man has a fit?

It has fibreglass over the wings so no sharp edges etc

MOT strictest failing point to me appears to be: " If there is serious corrosion within (I think its 300mm)of a body or seatbelt mounting..... immediate fail" & some plating required to pass.  SO...  Check under front wheel arches where body mounts to chassis , the rest is not as prone with it NOT being a steel rear body. Check along brake pipes also for Pitting corrosion & if not too bad go over them with grease to prevent further rusting.(advice years ago from a ministry testing man on my S46) Good advice though is dont underestimate the tester, they have to be keen otherwise they loose their permit.
